Along with the music, salsa and reggaeton that you hear from out of the cars and shops – i discovered and fell in love then with llanera and gaïta – the Coquies sound is my only one familiar mark when i arrive in Venezuela. Because i knew Puerto-Rico from before, that was for me the sound of Caribbean Islands. I felt good listening to them once again, here in La Guaira, port and beach of Caracas.
