“Sofia Says” gets reviewed

The Quietus
“[…]an uneasy balance between conscious and subconscious streams of thought, as if trying to collide the outdoor world with our inner lives.” goo.gl/kwDtmN

No-Wave
“This is an inventive, alien-sounding album. It is in a constant state of flux and reinvention, never settling or assembling; never becoming uninteresting. A tense and exciting listen.” https://goo.gl/igxD1K

Froggy’s Delight
“Gaël Segalen propose là un voyage stupéfiant, dépaysant et profondément passionnant.” https://goo.gl/mvJyG4

Corrupted Delights
“[…]a bright example of modern musique concrete with a warm, human touch, even though its synthetic nature encourages the listener’s detachment.” https://goo.gl/J8aBLb

“I’m a big fan of Gaël Segalen’s work, both as a solo artist and as part of Les Graciés with Afrikan Sciences. This new one is a wild and heady trip through turgid slabs of noise. I think those are my favourite words to type. From the stark urgency of “Mountain East” comes the flailing voices of “Mountain West”. “I’ll See You Again” sounds like an orchestra tuning up while turning into mechanical bodies of sludge (it makes sense in my head). Meanwhile the bug on the release’s artwork crawls about as the last remaining organic living thing. ”
